Taking to her Instagram, actor Reese Witherspoon released a joint statement that announced her separation with husband Jim Toth.
Reese Witherspoon announced her separation with husband Jim Toth after 11 years of marriage. The Academy Award-winner took to her Instagram to share a joint statement on Friday, announcing that they have made the 'difficult decision' after a 'great deal of care and consideration' and would want privacy at this time. The statement read: "We have some personal news to share... It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together. Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time. - Reese and Jim." The actor turned off the comments on her post.
Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth had announced their engagement a decade ago in December 2010. They got married a year later in March 2011 in a ceremony on her ranch in Ojai, Calif. They have a 10-year-old son named Tennessee James. Reese Witherspoon also shares two kids daughter Ava, 23, and son Deacon, 19 with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
Reese recently produced the hit Prime Video show Daisy Jones and the Six, based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's book of the same name, which starred Riley Keough and Sam Claflin. Reese won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in Walk The Line in 2006.
