Getting a table at a hookah joint isn’t the easiest proposition in the world. But there are ways to beat the wait. Just get a hookah home delivered.

Voyager sheesha service gives Mumbaikars the option to rent their hookahs and then enjoy the many flavours within the comforts of their own home. An attendant even comes as part of the package, to do the running around in terms of setting up the equipment and burning coal. The service started in October last year, and has grown in popularity ever since.

“I was in London for four years and the cold weather meant that my friends and I could enjoy hookahs at home. Then I returned to Mumbai and realised that getting a hookah here wan’t as easy. So we decided to start this service,” says Nirbhay Vassa, 24, co-owner of Voyager

sheesha service along with Yogita Lall. The name Voyager was chosen as it signifies a travelling service.

Voyager provides hookahs to every setting for a house party to bachelor bash or even friends who are chilling out. One needs to order a minimum of three sheeshas (Rs 750 each) that lasts for about 4.5 hours. There are around 40 flavours to choose from including exotic

varieties like Kiwi Blast. To ensure that they cater to the above 18 crowd, an ID check is conducted before serving the sheeshas.

Apart from the usual stuff, they’ve also come up with new flavours for festivals and special occasions. “We’ve come up with stuff like

Reindeer flavour for Christmas and hope to adapt to suit our audience,” says Vassa.
