Hollywood star Jessica Simpson has slammed reports of having flirted with golfer Tiger Woods.

The 29-year-old singer and actress was shocked to see herself on the cover of a magazine which linked her to Woods
saying that the duo met during a July 2009 golf tournament and flirted heavily in the presence of Simpson's then-boyfriend Tony Romo, US magazine reported.

The magazine also claimed that they exchanged text messages days later.

"(I) can't believe that I'm on the cover of star magazine with Tiger Woods, what a joke! 'The Shocking Inside
Story' is a lie!" the singer wrote on her Twitter page.

A source close to Simpson also said that there is no truth to the story.

"No part of this story is true," the source said, adding that Woods and Simpson did attend the same National
Pro-Am golf tournament where they were photographed with Romo.

"They met quickly and took a photo together. She was only there for a few hours to sing the national anthem," the
insider said.
