I’ve the best chemistry with Riteish: Genelia Deshmukh
Actor Genelia Deshmukh wants to work with her hubby again. Marriage is nothing like what people scare you about. In fact, I highly recommend it.
After completing a year of marriage with actor Riteish Deshmukh, actor Genelia Deshmukh says that her life more or less revolves around him. “It feels great to be married. I have known Riteish for a very long time, so it wasn’t such a life changing experience for me. Marriage is nothing like what people scare you about. In fact, I highly recommend it,” she says.
The 25-year-old, who has starred opposite actors like John Abraham, Imran Khan and Shahid Kapoor, feels no one can beat her chemistry with Riteish. “I have the best chemistry with Riteish. I would love to star opposite him again. We actually started our careers together,” she says. The two have been paired in films like Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003), Masti (2004) and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012).
The actor has taken some time off films and is busy supporting her hubby’s team in Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). “Riteish owns a team in the league. Being his wife, I’m there for support. I’m very involved in it,” says Genelia.
Two of her Bollywood films — It’s My Life and Rock The Shaadi — haven’t seen the light of day. So, what’s the status of the movies? “Actors never know. It’s the producers who take the call. We are as clueless as anyone else. They don’t tell us 90% of the time,” she says.
Genelia, who was recently in the Capital for the launch of the store Blue & Blues, says she loves the city. “I love coming here because there is certain kind of a connect that I have with Delhi. I have played the character of a Punjabi girl, naughty girl a couple of times,” she says.
