Union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee gave away the awards to the winners who shared their thoughts on stage, in an impromptu conversation with CNN-IBN’s editor-in-chief, Rajdeep Sardesai. Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, was declared the Indian of the Year 2010, though he couldn’t make it to the event owing to his mother’s illness.
The noted Shillong Chamber Choir entralled the audience with their awe-inspiring performance.
