Julia had come to India last September, along with her three kids. Major portions of the film were shot in Rajasthan. The film, which shows Julia travelling to Italy, India and Indonesia in search of love and peace, is based on the best-selling memoirs of Elizabeth Gilbert titled, Eat, Pray, Love.

The actress tried her best to keep a low profile while shooting for the film, being directed by Ryan Murphy and co-produced by actor Brad Pitt. The film also features Oscar winner Javier Barderm and will release in India on August 27.
