Mopping

: Avoid wet mopping and use of soap and abrasive cleaners. Use special laminate flooring formulations. They should be sprayed-on and wiped using soft cloth or dry mop.

Scratch-free

: The tough coating on laminated floors does not make it resistant to damage. Damage through dirt is the biggest cause of it.

Prevention

: Use felt protector pads under the feet of furniture to protect the floor from damage.

Big no-no

: Don’t drag furniture. If needed, slide it across with a folded blanket beneath its legs.

Extras

: Use a rug suitable for these floors to prevent discolouration and clean liquid spills immediately.
