His own love life may have been fodder for rumour mills, but that doesn’t stop Karan Singh Grover from doling out relationship advice.

Starting May 22, TV star Karan Singh Grover will host a new reality show on Channel V, titled Perfect Couples. The show revolves around nine couples who will go on a whirlwind tour — spanning from Khajuraho to Kathmandu. The couple that remains together until the end of the show will be declared the winner. “We are trying to find the perfect couple. The most important thing in a relationship is trust, love and compatibility. Relationships are all about how in tune you are with each other,” opines Karan, who shot to fame after acting in television hits such as Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Dill Mill Gaye.

Once married to fellow actor Shraddha Nigam, Karan’s relationship came to an end after he allegedly fell for his Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 choreographer Nicole Alvares. It’s a subject the actor still won’t talk about, saying, “Why don’t you check the Internet for stories? I don’t want to be quoted on my divorce with Shraddha.”

Given his rocky relationship graph, what is his advice for avoiding a bad break-up? “There are no best and worst break-ups. They are never easy on a person,” he pontificates. “It takes two to make a relationship and when they break up, both should share the responsibility.”

Quiz him on whether sex could form the basis of a relationship and he declines to comment: “I would not like to get into talking sex.”
