Ram Gopal Varma had announced his plans to make the movie on Neeraj Grover murder case long before her acquittal. Maria Susairaj who got acquitted of the murder charges does not want herself portrayed in bad light, reports Bollywood Hungama.

Post verdict, RGV tweeted in a lighter vein that he wants to cast Maria Susairaj in his next. Even parents of Neeraj Grover were unhappy about Ramu making film on the incident.

Ramu however is adamant about not showing the film to Maria. He told Bollywood Hungama, "I will not show my film to Maria as I have repeatedly said that my film is just inspired by the incident and not completely based on her. There are so many differences in the film from the real life incident. My heroine is not a south Indian actress and her fiancé is not in Navy as in real case. Also, the film is just an interpretation of what could have happened and not a reporting on what actually happened. No one was there to know what the reality is. This is not her story and I am not showing the film to her."

This isn't the first for Ramu, here's a lowdown on some controversies he's been in the middle of:

Department shoot disrupted: Ram Gopal Varma who chose to shoot at Bhindi Bazaar without police permission was in for a shock when locals objected to the shoot and filed a complaint.

National Anthem controversy: His remixed version of National anthem resulted in quite a storm. The trailer was banned and director had to remove the song from Rann.

Terror tour: A day after Mumbai's terror attack, RGV accompanied Vilasrao Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh to Taj Hotel. This led to a huge controversy. The Maharashtra CM ultimately had to resign.

Ramu Ke Sholay: Ram Gopal Varma clashed with Sippy's son over acquiring the rights to the tile Sholay for his remake of the film. The director ultimately had to drop the word Sholay and go with Aag.
