Born in Sonepat in Haryana, Meghna did a Master’s degree in English and then moved to Delhi to join the National School of Drama (NSD). She graduated in 1997. After showcasing her acting skills in NSD’s repertory company, Meghna moved to Mumbai to try her luck in the film and TV industries. She worked in a few films (Kuch Naa Kaho, Taare Zameen Par) and serials, and is now wowing viewers with her portrayal of the feisty Ammaji in the TV show Na Aana Is Des Laado.

Yes I do. I am a complete romantic at heart.

When I am working it will be Air India and when I am jobless, then Indian Railways.

A horse because I am fond of riding. Even my character, Ammaji, likes to ride horses.
Earth’s crowded and full of trash. Choose another planet.
I would choose Earth as I don’t believe in something I haven’t seen.

Definitely intelligent. Riches will follow.

A very satisfactory performance.

Incompetence around me.

I bought gifts for my parents.

A place where you would like to be lost for a month?
I would love to lose myself in any kind of wilderness.

I would move around in search of another person.

I love the signature tune of Na Aana Is Des Laado.

I am completely in love with Amitabh Bachchan and he’s my superhero!
