"I'm very shy, but when I get on stage a whole other person comes out. The connection with the audience gives me this energy and I just come alive," dailymail.co.uk quoted Nicole as saying.

"But, when I was growing up, I was unbelievably awkward and shy and conservative. It's funny, people hear the music and watch me perform, and think I'm very intimidating, but if they were to meet me they would see that, underneath it all, I'm still that shy girl," she said.
