Ranbir Kapoor eyes plush abode in Dubai
Mother Neetu Singh met brokers during the family’s recent trip to UAE.
Ranbir Kapoor may soon join the league of Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, among others. If things go as per plan, the actor will become the latest star to own property in Dubai. Although his current residence, a palatial bungalow in Pali Hill, Bandra (W), is one of the most envied properties in town, Ranbir and his family also want to invest in a plush abode in the UAE.
The actor’s mother, Neetu Singh, apparently met some brokers during the family’s recent trip to the city, where they were promoting their upcoming movie. Insiders claim that she even extended her stay as she wanted to shortlist a few locations before returning to Mumbai.
Ranbir, who is on a promotional tour for his soon-to-release film, could not be reached for a comment. But recently, he did confirm the news with a leading Dubai newspaper. He was quoted saying, “We have always loved the city and my parents are now looking at buying a house here. I’ll actively help them find that perfect home.”
The Kapoor scion has had a few interesting stints with the desert nation in the recent past. Last year, the family celebrated Rishi Kapoor’s birthday in Dubai at a Japanese eatery. Earlier this year, alleged couple Ranbir and Katrina Kaif were also rumoured to have been spotted at a mall in Dubai.
