Starry fitness fundas
Members of the Sykz gym were treated to ample doses of Bollywood glamour recently.
Members of the Sykz gym were treated to ample doses of Bollywood glamour on Tuesday evening by the cast of Fight Club. Building up sweat at the Punjabi Bagh gym was the trio of hunks — Sohail Khan, Ashmit Patel and Ashish Chaudhary.
So, what’s the gym’s USP, we ask business partner Aman Bhandari. “We’ve provided personalised attention to every member. Someone who walks into a gymnasium for the first time may not have any idea of what everyone else is doing. If you are not aware of the correct way of exercising on a particular machine, you can accidentally damage your muscles instead of building them.”
All three stars also happen to be members of the Mumbai branch of the gym. Khan, who refused to talk about his production Lucky: No Time For Love, divulged his fitness secrets instead. According to Khan, Akshay Kumar is one of the fittest stars in Bollywood.

Talking about his own fitness regime, Khan says, “I do a lot of running. Besides that, I do lots of cardiovascular-exercises and lift some light weights at the gym. Apart from exercising regularly, what is important is keeping a check on your diet. If one is interested in building one’s body, a heavy protein diet is ideal.”
Chaudhary seemed impressed with a motivational quote on the gym wall that read: Shape your will, your body will follow. “This is my fitness funda too. If you decide in your mind on living a healthy life, you will yourself change your bad habits and routine. It does not take much to stay fit — all you need to do is eat healthy, sleep on time and do some form of exercise on a regular basis.” If the residents of Punjabi Bagh needed some starry inspiration to keep fit, they got it on Tuesday.
