Vidya Balan doesn't mind ex-beau Shahid as a neighbour
Vidya Balan rubbishes rumours that she’s upset about Shahid Kapoor buying an apartment in her building in Juhu.
Back in the day, Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor were rumoured to be dating. The speculation was put to rest much before Vidya tied the knot with producer Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012.
But recently, the grapevine had it that Vidya was upset with Shahid for buying a flat in the same building in Juhu where she stays with Kapur. However, when asked, Vidya seemed amused by the story.

“That’s ridiculous. Anybody is allowed to buy property anywhere, and Shahid is a colleague. Why should I have a problem?” she questions, adding, “We (she and Kapur) are very happy in our house (laughs). And Shahid isn’t a criminal. If there was one living in my building, then I would be upset and worried. I wish him (Shahid) the best in his new house.”
Of late, there have been several reports about the alleged turmoil in her personal life. Ask Vidya about it, and she says, “Log mujhe batate rahte hai mere bare mein (People keep telling me things about my life).”
So, is it upsetting to wake up to read news about your life in the newspapers? “No, because every morning, I wake up and don’t read the papers. I only go through the national pages. No entertainment news for me (sic),” says the actor.
