When we are eating together, we feed each other first,” said Sania in an exclusive interview to People magazine, a week after their nikaah. Their romance started with a chance meeting at an Indian restaurant in Australia in January. “When Shoaib asked me for my number I was very wary. So I gave him my temporary Australia number. I gave him my India number the very next day. And, suddenly we were constantly texting and then we started talking for hours. That’s where things started for us,” says Sania.

Though Sania says she’s ready for “wifely duties”, Shoaib says he doesn’t expect it of her. “It really doesn’t matter whether she cooks or not,” he says. And what about babies? “I like kids,” says Shoaib, as Sania adds, “That’s too far into the future. I’m going to play for a few more years so it’ll only be after that.”
