Recently, after a section of media asked him about his relationship with Asin he angrily said, "Asin is a very close friend, and I see no reason why I should shy away from that. I am fond of her and we are good friends, but I don't need to recommend her to anyone."
However, here's the catch! When Hriday Shetty approached Neil for a role in his film, buss is that Neil jumped at the opportunity to suggest Asin as the female lead opposite him.
Meanwhile, when Hriday went to approach Asin for the role, she told him off and also told him that Neil's role is not cut out for him.
