Kristen Stewart and R-Patz are reportedly back together, but are petrified of going public, fearing a backlash from fans.

The actress, spotted with Garrett Hedlund and director Walter Salles, looked very happy at a private screening of On The Road in New York, last night.

Earlier, the 22-year-old had revealed that everything was going to be fine, between them.

“We're going to be fine. We’re totally fine,” The Mirror had quoted Kristen as saying.

And now, according to US gossip site Laineygossip.com, the two are keeping things tightly under wraps, to keep a possible backlash from the public, from hurting Pattinson's career.

“It was communicated to people during TIFF [Toronto International Film Festival] that they are back together, but they're worried about how it might affect his career, like whether or not there will be some kind of crazy backlash.” The Mirror quoted a U.S gossip site as saying.
