Selena Gomez may have raised eyebrows with her edgy Louis Vuitton dress, but she played it safe with a traditionally glamorous and gorgeous makeup look. Kiehl’s makeup artist Hung Vanngo prepped the star’s skin with Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate for extra radiance, before moisturising with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado to create a smooth base.

He then ensured an even complexion with Chanel Vital Lumiere Foundation in 40 B, and NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer in Custard, before setting it with NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder. Her eyebrows were filled in using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, while Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner in Raven gave her eyes a soft, smoky appearance. A line of MAC Glitter Reflects Gold was swept across her lids and lower lash line for a touch of drama, with medium-length individual Ardell lashes added to the outer corners of her eyes. Two coats of Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara in Black Extase finished the look.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry recently announced the launch of her CoverGirl makeup range so it is no surprise that she put her faith in the cosmetics brand for her Met Gala look. Makeup artist Todd Delano used Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation in 220 to even out the singer’s skin tone, before bronzing and contouring with Trublend Bronzer in Bronze and Trublend Blush in Medium Rose. The Trunaked Eyeshadow Palette in Nudes was used on the eyes, with a sweep of Covergirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Blue Boom bringing out the water line.
