10-yr-old molested by security guard

A security guard was arrested on Sunday for allegedly trying to molest a 10-year-old girl at Vatika City, Sohna Road.

A security guard was arrested on Sunday for allegedly trying to molest a 10-year-old girl at Vatika City, Sohna Road.

According to the police, Sita Ram, 24, the accused, tried to molest the girl in lift when she was coming back from her friend’s place on Saturday.

Sita Ram, a native of Rae Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, was employed as a security guard in the society for last six months.

He was arrested by Sadar police on Sunday morning and produced before magistrate, who granted him bail.

According to a complaint registered with Sadar police station by the girl’s father, the incident took place around 4pm when the victim entered the lift in which the guard was already there. The guard tried to molest her.

The girl shouted for help and asked him to stop, the complaint said.

Then the victim returned home crying and informed her parents about the incident.

“A case has been registered. The guard will not be allowed to enter the society,” said Inderjeet, SHO, Sadar police station. Sita Ram is employed by Group4 securities. The matter was reported to the company also.
