30 Haryana cops including controversial Gurugram DCP in abetment row, transferred

The Gurugram DCP courted controversy after family members of a 59-year-old property dealer, who shot himself in July, accused him of abetment.

Thirty police officers across the state were issued transfer and posting orders on Thursday, including an officer of deputy commissioner of police (DCP) rank, in Gurugram, who was mired in a controversy.

The DCP courted controversy after family members of a 59-year-old property dealer, who shot himself in July, accused him of abetment. The family held protests demanding a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and also took out a candle light vigil in the city last week.

The case has been forwarded to the state crime branch.

The state home department issued the transfer and posting orders of 26 IPS and four HPS officers with immediate effect.

According to Thursday’s order, Kuldeep Singh, DCP (east), has been transferred as Superintendent of Police (SP), Yamunanagar, and Sulochana Kumari, DCP (traffic), has been given additional charge of DCP (east).

Deepak Gahlawat, DCP (headquarter), has been transferred as SP (law and order) and Kulvinder Singh, who is currently commandant, 4th India Reserve Battalion (IRB), Manesar, will take his post.

Mohinder Kumar, DCP (Manesar) has been posted SP, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) and Rajesh Kumar, who is currently additional SP, Hisar, will take his post.

Nazneen Bhasin, SP, Nuh has been posted commandant, 4th IRB, Manesar, Gurugram. However, she will remain in charge as SP, Nuh.

Dr Hanif Qureshi, IG, security has been posted as IG, Indian Reserve Battalion, Bhondsi in place of Dr CS Rao who will be the IG, Haryana Armed Police (HAP), Madhuban, relieving HS Doon of additional charge.

Dr M Ravi Kiran, IG, prisons has been posted as IG, administration, police headquarter, whereas Saurabh Singh, IGP, state crime branch (SCB) has been posted IG, security. He will also be the IG, special task force (STF), Gurugram.

Dr Rajshree Singh, IG, SCB has been given additional charge of IG, NH traffic.

Satender Kumar Gupta, SP-cum-DIG, Sonepat has been posted DIG, CID in place of Y Puran Kumar, who will take charge as DIG, prisons.

Ashok Kumar, commandant, 1st Battalion, HAP, Ambala has been posted as SP, Ambala in place of Abhishek Jorwal, who will the DCP, Panchkula in place of Rajender Kumar Meena. Meena will take charge as commandant, 1st Battalion, HAP, Ambala.

Hamid Akhtar, SP, Sirsa has been posted as AIG, administration and he will also be the SP, Sirsa.

Sangeeta Rani, commandant, 1st IRB, Bhondsi has been given additional charge of SP, SCB.

Manisha Chaudhary, SP, Hisar has been posted as SP, crime against women, police headquarter, Panchkula.

Pratiksha Godara, SP, Hansi has been posted as SP, Sonepat.

Sumer Partap Singh, SP, law and order, has been posted as SP, HPA, Madhuban with additional charge of SP, NH traffic, Karnal.

Lokender Singh, DCP, central Faridabad, has been given additional charge of DCP, traffic, Faridabad, in place of Virender Vij, who is to take charge as SP, Hansi.

Shiv Charan, DCP, Ballabgarh has been posted as SP, Hisar, and Surinder Pal Singh, SP, SCB has been posted as SP, Kurukshetra in place of Abhishek Garg, who has gone on leave.

Dheeraj Setia, SP, chief minister’s flying squad, has been posted as SP, railways.

Kamaldeep Goyal, SP, Narnaul has been posted as SP, CMFS (CID). Vinod Kumar, SP, railways, has been posted as SP, Narnaul, and Rajesh Kumar, additional SP, Ambala has been posted as DCP, Ballabgarh.
