Police said the accused person, identified by first name as Praveen alias Michu, hailing from Gadholi village, was arrested on Saturday night from Pataudi after the sector 10 crime branch was tipped off.

Gurugram Police spokesperson Subhash Boken said the accused has confessed to supplying weapons to two men, who were arrested on February 2 for allegedly stealing a car at gun-point from sector 92.

“During questioning, he said that he had supplied two country-made pistols used in the Feb 2 incident to the accused,” Boken said.

In the second incident, the police arrested two men, who had allegedly tried to rob a cab driver in Pataudi on September 8, 2018.

Police said the accused men, identified as Anand from Jind and Sandeep from Rohtak, had booked a cab and when the cab had departed from Pataudi, they had tried to choke the driver with a rope, but were unable to rob him as the driver raised an alarm.

The accused men were arrested near an eatery in Pataudi on National Highway 48 on Saturday.

The crime branch of Bilaspur on Saturday also arrested two proclaimed offenders who had allegedly fired at a family in Pataudi in September 2017. The accused, Rohit and Vinod, were arrested from Janola Uoonch Majra villages.

The accused were pressurizing the victim’s family to withdraw an abduction case registered against one of their acquaintance.

Cases have been filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act in all the three incidents. The suspects were presented before the court and sent to jail.
