The seven member sub-committee was constituted to hear in detail the problems faced by homebuyers and resolve them.

Those complaints that remain unresolved would be heard by the AGRF headed by deputy commissioner Hardeep Singh with senior officials of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) from Gurgaon and Chandigarh, later.

Sources said around 14 to 15 grievances are likely to be heard in this meeting against builders such as Unitech, Universal Buildwell, Clarion, Suncity, Puri Constructions, Adel, and ABW. The matter related to Universal Buildwell has been included after buyers held a protest and met town and country planning officials, alleging delay in the delivery and pending work at the project site.

“The town and country planning officials during their meeting with buyers had assured that this matter would be heard at the meeting of the sub-committee. We are suffering and need to be heard and helped by the authority,” Itender Singh, a buyer, said.

The seven member AGRF sub-committee will be headed by YM Mansuri, senior town planner and Mohan Singh, district town planner, who is the member secretary. The other members include superintendent engineers (I & II) of Huda, superintendent engineer of power discoms DHBVN/HVPNL, district town planner(enforcement), DTCP, and senior town planner of the MCG.

The issues that have been listed in this meeting pertain to delay in delivery of projects, non-payment of assured returns by the developer, cancellation of flats, imposition of administrative levy against norms, deficiency of service, and violation of bilateral agreements.

A senior DTCP official said the sub-committee will hear the grievances and try to resolve these at the departmental level. However, those which remain unresolved will be sent to the AGRF.
