Gurgaon: Parents, students hail CBSE’s exam centre locator app

The exam centre locator app helps students and parents locate the exam centre by entering the student’s roll number. The app displays the address, images and location of the centre.

Parents and students who are taking their CBSE board examinations said that the CBSE’s Exam Center Locator mobile application has helped ease their stress during the exams.

The app helps students and parents locate the exam centre by entering the student’s roll number. The app displays the address, images and location of the centre.

Students said that the app is convenient to use and has helped them save time. Parents said that they were able to locate their wards’ examination centre in minutes.

“I found Exam Center Locator application very helpful. Not only did it quell our worries about having to find the examination centre, it also helped us cut down on our commute time,” Shivani Rana of Salwan Public School said.

Aarya Dewan of Delhi Public School in Sector 45 said, “Last year, my senior faced a lot of problems in finding her examination centre and was tensed. Fortunately, this year, thanks to the app, I have been able to stay relaxed before examinations without having to worry about finding my centre.”

Mann Sabarwal of SN Sideshwar School said,“The app is user-friendly and can be used by any student or a parent with ease. Not only does it display the address, but it also shows the images and location of the centre.”

Parents said that their children have been able to concentrate better on their studies.

“Generally, students panic before exams over finding their centre. We welcome the CBSE’s move to launch the Exam Center Locater application. It helped my daughter find her examination centre easily,” Suman Sharma, whose daughter is taking the exams, said.

“It is an easy application to use and is very useful for parents as well as students. I am not aware of the city routes and was tensed about locating my centre, but the application helped me,” Sharanya Bagchi of Suncity World School said.

Those using the app are required to register their mobile number to generate a one-time password to log on to the app. The CBSE examinations started on March 9 and are in progress.
