The flyovers have been planned at intersections of the Pataudi Road near Sector 88, Farrukhnagar Road near sectors 100 and 101, Daultabad Road near sectors 104 and 105 and another road crossing NPR near sectors 110A and 111 at Bazgera.

The move comes after a meeting on Tuesday between officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda), which is the custodian of the project.

Huda will give R75 lakh to the PWD to prepare the feasibility report for construction of the four flyovers. The PWD will invite architects to prepare the report.

“The local Huda office has sent the file to the head office in Chandigarh for final approval. Hopefully, in a week, the proposal will be approved and we will give the money to PWD immediately,” said SK Rana, executive engineer, Huda.

Abhishek Jatian, PWD executive engineer, said, “The PWD is waiting for Huda to deposit the money. It will take at least a month to complete the feasibility report following which the detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared.”

JSR Construction Pvt Ltd and Indiabulls Construction Limited are the joint contractors who had been awarded the NPR project by Huda on April 1, 2011. The authority had earlier extended the project deadline for six months after expiry of the initial deadline on March 31, 2012.

The NPR is the state government’s widest-ever (150-metre) expressway project.

The stretch has been planned as an alternate link road between Delhi and Gurgaon and is expected to ease the traffic rush on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.
