A sound sleep is as important as your diet chart. So here are a few tips to sleep like a baby and wake up feeling fresh and ready to take on the world.
Fix your bedtime and wake-up time. Your body clock will adapt to this and within no time, you’ll find yourself sleeping effortlessly. Don’t keep any books by your bed, and keep the television remote as far away as possible.
Avoid consuming caffeine in the four hours leading to bedtime. A warm soak in the bath tub will relax your mind and de-stress your body for a peaceful sleep. A bad habit of a smoker is to light up a cigarette after dinner. Break that routine. Instead, have a glass of warm milk. Nicotine acts as a stimulant and keeps you awake.
Popping sleeping pills is just a temporary relief and will have side effects if taken regularly. Make it a habit to exercise for an hour every day. It will help you to fall asleep faster.
