Cumberbaby's here! Benedict Cumberbatch, Sophie Hunter welcome son
The Sherlock-star, who recently received the Commander of the Order of the British Empire in Queen's birthday honours, announced the birth of his first child with wife Sophie and asked fans to respect the family's privacy in the next few weeks.

British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter announced the arrival of a healthy baby boy, the couple's first child together, into their lives.
"Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son. We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during these next few precious weeks," a representative for the 38-year-old actor said in a statement.
The Sherlock star tied the knot with Sophie on Valentine's Day in a private ceremony on the Isle of Wright, reported Ace Shopwbiz.
Cumberbatch was recently named Commander of the Order of the British Empire or CBE along with "12 Years a Slave" actor Chiwetel Ejiofor in Queen's birthday honours.
