While our Hindi film industry has always been in awe of Hollywood, the West is equally enamoured by Bollywood. “I love watching Bollywood films. My wife is the world’s biggest Bollywood expert. I mean, we were friends with a few Bollywood people, and when my wife talks, they’re like, ‘You know more than we do (laughs)’,” he says. “We haven’t met Karan, but Laurie is a giant fan, as am I. She’s kind of become friends with him on Twitter and we love watching his films,” says Feig.

The 53-year-old director — who has helmed the upcoming reboot of the popular franchise Ghostbusters — was also “blown away” when he got a chance to do a video chat with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. “We actually got to Skype with Shah Rukh Khan, which was a mind-blower for both of us. We are huge fans of SRK,” he says adding, “We’re also really good friends with Uday Chopra and Nargis Fakhri. Because of them, we got to hang out with Priyanka Chopra.”
