Hollywood veteran Sean Penn is in line to direct Crazy for the Storm, based on the survival memoir of the same name.
According to Variety, Sean Penn could be headed back behind the camera five years after the release of Into the Wild. The film, produced by Warner Bros., will be based on Norman Ollestad's memoir, and Variety mentions that Penn is still in talks with Warner about the project.
Crazy for the Storm, published in 2009, tells the story of Norman Ollestad's childhood alongside his extreme sports-loving father, who relentlessly pushes him beyond his limits. At age 11, the young boy's perspective changes when he lives through a plane crash that kills his father and leaves him stranded in a blizzard.
