The Wolverine 3 adds an extra special character...
Patrick Stewart has confirmed he will be making more than just an appearance in The Wolverine 3, Hugh Jackman's last hurrah as the clawed-mutant. Stewart also seemingly confirmed that the film will be based on the Old Man Wolverine storyline.
The Wolverine 3 has just added another star for a substantial appearance: Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier, confirmed by none other than Sir Patrick himself.
"Lead me, guide me," said one Charles to the other. (20th Century Fox)
The currently-untitled The Wolverine 3 is underway with Hugh Jackman returning as the clawed mutant. The actor said he would not appear just as a cameo, reported Aceshowbiz.

"I think what you say is true. There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me," Stewart said.
The actor added fuel to the speculation that the upcoming film would follow the 2008 comic book storyline Old Man Logan, in which Wolverine was in his twilight year.
"And the idea of an old Wolverine - I'm really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I'm hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he'll make me look better if that's the case," Stewart jokingly said.
. The actor decided to leave the franchise after portraying the character for 17 years. Directed by James Mangold, the mutant movie is slated for a release in the US on March 3, 2017.
