Bihar exit poll 2025: MGB to give tough fight but its NDA again, no fire by JSP, pollsters predict

Bihar exit poll results 2025 LIVE: BJP National Spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan said there was a “pro-incumbency” trend in Bihar.

"NDA will come into power with a two-thirds majority. This historic victory will be due to 20 years of good governance, leadership of Nitish Kumar, guidance of PM Narendra Modi and the effort and bravery of our party workers. Viksit Bihar will be the foundation of PM Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat... Jungle Raaj scares us all to this day; we are assured due to Nitish Kumar's governance," he said.

He also said, "I will be surprised if his (Prashant Kishor) account even opens in the result... There is a pro-incumbency trend..."

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh pinned his party's hopes in Bengal on the Bihar results.
"Bihar is a neighbouring state (to West Bengal), and Nitish Kumar has a credible image. If NDA wins in the Bihar elections, that will also help the BJP in Bengal," Ghosh said.

BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh slammed the leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi on the SIR issue.

"He is not a campaigner of the Congress but a superstar campaigner of the BJP. Go to the village and ask around, there must be 100 voters who vote here as well as in Delhi, Ludhiana and Gujarat. Should their names not be deleted (from voter list)? It should...But he doesn't understand it. As long as there is Rahul Gandhi, balle balle for BJP. He doesn't understand real issues," he said.

As exit polls showed a clear majority for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, BJP MLC Sanjay Mayukh expressed confidence that the final results would be better, citing the support of the people and the work done under PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar.

Speaking to ANI, Mayukh said, "The exact poll will be better than the exit poll. We will have better results because we have the full blessings of the people of Bihar.We have worked under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar.We will get the results of that work."

BJP MP Jagadambika Pal said that the first phase voting in Bihar ‘made it clear’ that NDA was forming the government.

"Even before the Exit Polls, the voting of the first phase made it clear that the NDA will form the government... For the first time after independence, 65.8% voting took place in Bihar," he said.

Former Bihar deputy CM and BJP candidate from Katihar, Tarkishore Prasad, said that he is not surprised by the exit poll predictions.

“These exit polls are not surprising because CM Nitish Kumar has transformed Bihar since 2005... We trust the voters of Bihar. We trust the development work we have done... The NDA and the BJP will certainly hoist the flag of victory,” he said.

Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal welcomed the Exit polls and said that the state was in safe hands.

"Under the leadership of PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Bihar has progressed a lot...The public has voted in favour of PM Modi's guarantees and the development model of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. The public has faith that the future of Bihar is safe in the hands of PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar...The relations between the RJD and Congress in the 'Mahalathbandhan' are well known. Rahul Gandhi cannot tolerate any regional party...The public is forming the NDA government again," he said.

With just days left for the results of the Bihar Assembly elections, several exit polls have predicted a massive win for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state. While the BJP welcomes the projection, the Opposition Mahagathbandhan has questioned the reliability of the exit polls, staying firm that they would unseat the NDA from power.

Purnea MP Pappu Yadav on Tuesday dismissed exit poll predictions favouring the NDA, saying that the people of Bihar have voted for the Mahagathbandhan.

Speaking to ANI, Yadav questioned the reliability of exit polls, saying, "When was the exit poll correct? You are talking about the exit poll; I'm talking about the exact poll. You are saying that the vote has increased, but where has it increased? I believe that the people of Bihar have cast their votes for Mahagathbandhan."

Furthermore, Purnea MP expressed confidence in the Opposition alliance's performance, saying, "From my experience in Bihar, I feel that either there will be a hung, or the Mahagathbandhan will form the government."

While Exit polls give an idea of a trend in an election, they are not final. Many pollsters had given Mahagathbandhan an edge in 2020 Bihar election, but the NDA had prevailed in final results.

The counting of votes for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections will be out on Friday, November 14.

While most Exit polls are out and give NDA the edge, a couple of them are still to be published. Today's Chanakya and Axis My India will release their numbers today.

Bihar exit poll results 2025 LIVE: While most of the projections were released from 6:30 pm onwards on Tuesday, Axis My India said it will announce the Bihar exit poll on Wednesday. In a post on X, the pollster said the exit poll for the Bihar polls will be released on November 12, from 5:30 pm onwards.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav slammed the "fake" exit polls and congratulated Bihar for the "historic" voter turnout.

"Congratulations to every voter in Bihar for casting a historic vote for change, and advance congratulations for the formation of a new progressive Mahagathbandhan government that will provide jobs!" he wrote in a post on X.

He further added, "Some pre-prepared false exit polls by the ruling party are misleading people. Due to "those who have the grain, sing the song," confusion is being deliberately spread through exit polls. When the Election Commission cannot provide vote counts for many days after polling, how do these channels reveal everything in just one hour? Their false graphics are prepared many days in advance, and from there, arrangements for food and water are made—these false channels join the queue. Those who even think these exit polls are accurate should look at the exit polls from the UP Lok Sabha elections, where big BJP stalwarts were defeated, as were the fake exit polls."

He asked all Mahagathbandhan members, workers and supporters to stay vigilant and prevent "any rigging or fraud from happening".

"Remember: We defeated them in Awadh, you are defeating them in Magadh. The formula for victory: No rest until the proof of victory," he added.

Most pollsters, including Matrize, Peoples Pulse, P-Marq and Poll Diary, have released their exit poll projections for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, predicting a decisive victory for the BJP-JDU-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), leaving the opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance at a distant second place. Meanwhile, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party appeared to have made a very little impact in the state polls.

As former Bihar minister and senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad resigned from the party, Bihar deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Tuesday said that the public had realised that the Congress's leadership, trapped in "familial politics", is a threat to democracy and that its future is "in darkness".

Speaking to news agency ANI, Sinha said, "The public also knows that the leadership of a party which does not come out of familialism is a threat to democracy, and the future of that party is also in darkness. Those who openly nurture criminals and give them opportunities to thrive can never win the public's trust."

On the exit poll projections for the 2025 Bihar assembly election, RJD MP Sudhakar Singh told news agency PTI, "High voter turnout is always to oust ruling government. Exit polls are PR campaign tools of ruling party."

Speaking to news agency ANI, BJP Bettiah candidate Renu Devi said, "The government has done good work, and Bihar has developed, and people are voting in the name of development. This is not a vote for false promises; this is a vote for development. It is certain that Nitish Kumar will be back in 2025, hence our vote percentage has increased... We will also fulfil our promises in the future."

Bihar exit poll results LIVE: Bihar this time witnessed its highest-ever voter turnout — 66.91%, according to the Election Commission of India, surpassing all previous records since the first assembly election held in 1951.

Female voter participation outshone male turnout, with 71.6% of women casting their votes compared to 62.8% of men.
