Congress, CJP protests LIVE: Amid the Congress protest at Lok Kalyan Marg, activist Yogendra Yadav says, "The protest that took place in Delhi yesterday was something we had never witnessed before, both in terms of the number of people involved and the issues raised. The brutality shown towards the students demanded a prompt response from political parties. I am really relieved to see that at least LoP Rahul Gandhi has fulfilled his duty by being here instead of only giving speeches in Parliament."

Jantar Mantar CJP protest: Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi lead protest had initially started outside the PM's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg but was later moved to 10, Rajaji Marg.

The entire stretch of Lok Kalyan Marg outside the PM's residence has been cordoned off for traffic.

Jantar Mantar CJP protest: Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday re-shared a video where Additional DCP of Delhi Police can be purportedly seen slapping a woman protester, and claimed that he is the same officer who attacked Geetanjali Wangchuk.

Taking to X, Dipke said, “He is the same officer who climbed on the truck to hit Geetanjali Wangchuk before we all jumped in to save her. Later he grabbed her hair.”

“Sandeep Lamba is not mentally fit to serve in the police,” he added.

Jantar Mantar CJP protest: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday claimed that Cockroach Janta Party leader Abhijeet Dipke will contest election on a Bhim Army ticket.

"Every movement has produced political leaders. The JP movement produced leaders, including Lalu Prasad Yadav. Arvind Kejriwal also emerged from Anna Hazare's movement," Dubey told reporters in the Parliament House complex, news agency PTI reported.

"Abhijeet Dipke may also contest elections in the future. Even in Nepal, those associated with the Gen Z movement eventually joined a political party. Similarly, Abhijeet Dipke will join a political party. I can say with certainty that he will contest elections on a Bhim Army ticket," he said.

“Modi ji doesn't have his own children, so he doesn't know what it is to have children. All these are our children. It is not right to beat up children. FIRs have been registered against students. Jantar Mantar CJP protest: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Tuesday removed Vijeta Dahiya from the post of spokesperson, saying it "strongly condemns" his "deeply insensitive actions" after videos of him surfaced on social media during the party's protest in Delhi.

In a statement posted on X, the party said the videos emerged at a time when "peaceful protestors and our team were facing brutal police violence", describing Dahiya's conduct as inconsistent with the movement's values.

"We strongly condemn the deeply insensitive actions of our spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya, whose videos surfaced while peaceful protestors and our team were facing brutal police violence. Such conduct is unacceptable, shows a complete lack of judgment, and is wholly inconsistent with the values and principles of our movement," the CJP said.

Jantar Mantar CJP protest: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday provided an update of those detained after the CJP protest on Monday.

In a post on X, he said, “Reached mandir marg police station. Not 11, but 17 youth have been arrested here. Now 6 are being taken to parliament PS. After getting 11 released, we will proceed to parliament PS to get the balance 6 also released.”

"In the meanwhile, 60 have been released from Ashok Vihar."

In a later update, Kejriwal informed that 6 protestors who were taken to Parliament police station have been released.

Jantar Mantar CJP protest: The Cockroach Janta Party has removed its spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya, calling his actions “deeply insensitive.”

Sharing the update on X, the party said, “We strongly condemn the deeply insensitive actions of our spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya, whose videos surfaced while peaceful protestors and our team were facing brutal police violence. Such conduct is unacceptable, shows a complete lack of judgment, and is wholly inconsistent with the values and principles of our movement.”

“In response we are removing Vijeta Dahiya as spokesperson of the Cockroach Janta Party and relieving him of all the official duties.”

Jantar Mantar CJP protest: “Having regard to the submission made by the counsel of the parties, opinions expressed by the doctors present and the concerns raised by them, we are of the opinion that the appellant’s husband ought to be shifted to a hospital of his choice. In the hearing of this matter before the court, it has been stated by appellant that appellant can be mediclaly taken care of at Medanta, Gurgaon which is the hospital of his own choice."

"In case, appellant’s husband is shifted to Medanta, that will be in fullfillment of the requirements of ensuring his fundaetal rights enshrined not only in article 19 but 21 as well. Mehta, SG has stated that the respondents will have no objection to the hospitalisation of the appellant’s husband in Medanta. In view of the aforesaid, we direct that the appellant’s husband be shifted immediately to Medanta hospital Gurgaon. The director shall form team of doctors having requisite expertise which shall constantly monitor the medical condiiton of the appellant’s husband and shall also administer the medication as maybe required as per the accepted medical norms, protocol,” the court said in the order.
