Visibility down, dust, cloudy skies take over Delhi; rain likely till tomorrow
Earlier forecasts had indicated that the national capital may witness very light to light rainfall along with thunderstorms around April 3 and 4
Delhi residents witnessed cloudy skies on Friday, with a dust storm sweeping across parts of the region. The city had recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degree celcius on April 2, 2.8 degrees above the seasonal average, while the minimum settled at 18.9 degree celcius.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms accompanied by rain are likely on Friday night and Saturday.
The IMD has said that the unsettled conditions are likely to persist through the week, with cloudy skies expected to continue till Monday, April 6. Intermittent light rain and thunderstorms are also likely during this period.

On Friday, the temperature is going to stay between 33 and 21 degree celcius. On April 4, IMD has flashed a yellow warnig to Delhi people, predicting thunderstorm accompanied with lighting and gusty winders of 30 to 40 kmph in both afternoon and evening on April 4.
More rain this week across North and Northwestern regions
Llight to moderate rain, with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, is likely across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan on April 7 and 8, says he latet IMD bulletin.
A fairly widespread spell of light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds is expected over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh between April 3 and 6, as per IMD.
In the plains, rainfall will be more scattered. Eastern part of Rajasthan may see light to moderate rain with thunderstorms on April 2, while West Rajasthan is likely to receive similar weather on April 2–4 and again on April 6. West Uttar Pradesh is expected to witness these conditions on April 3.
A fresh wet spell is likely to begin from April 7, affecting the western Himalayan region. Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may receive scattered to fairly widespread rain or snowfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds on April 7 and 8.
