A drunk passenger, identified as Jauhar Ali Khan, was arrested by the Delhi Police for urinating in public at Terminal 3 of the Delhi Airport and was released later on a bail bond. Delhi Police said the incident took place on January 8 when Jauhar Ali Khan urinated in the open in front of departure gate 6. He also abused other passengers, police said. Jauhar Ali Khan was travelling to Dammam, news agency ANI reported. The incident comes amid uproar over the Air India urination case in connection with which Shankar Mishra, a Mumbai-based businessman, was arrested.

On Air India ‘peeing’ incident, Tata Sons chairman's 'personal anguish' response

On a US-Delhi flight, Mishra in a drunken state urinated on a woman passenger in business class. The Air India incident came to the fore after the passenger wrote to Air India while no action was taken against Mishra when the flight landed in India.

The incident exposed the state of affairs of Air India as the airline was pulled up for its delayed response to the incident. The DGCA issued a showcase notice to Air India, its director of inflight services and the crew that operated the flight pointing out its failure to report the incident to the regulator.

After the Air India incident, another urination case was reported on a Paris-Delhi flight where a drunk man urinated on a woman's blanket when she was inside the toilet. The Terminal 3 incident is the third such case of urination on a flight or airport.
