The fifth sitting of the monsoon session of Parliament on Tuesday began with discussions on mob lynching, Andhra special status, Bihar shelter home rape case and other issues.Before the start of the session on Tuesday, TDP and TMC MPs staged protests in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament. While the TDP MPs were protesting for the demand of special category status for Andhra Pradesh, TMC MPs protested against the rising mob lynching incidents in the country.

1,662 defamatory sites, contents blocked by social media platforms: Govt
As many as 1,662 defamatory websites and contents were blocked by social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter following requests from law enforcement agencies: Union minister Hansraj Gangaram Ahir.
Facebook has blocked 956 URLs against requests for 1,076 URLs, Twitter 409 URLs against 728 requests and YouTube 152 URLs against 182 requests, Ahir said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha .

After Modi government came to power in 2014, the amount deposited in Swiss National Bank has reduced by 80% between 2014 and 2017: Finance minister Piyush Goyal in Rajya Sabha
According to data released by Swiss National Bank, loans and deposits of individual Indians in the bank decreased by 34.5% in the last year compared to the previous year.
News reports quoting Swiss Bank’s annual statistics showed increase of 50% in its total liabilities towards India in ‘16-’17. Data is misinterpreted, it includes Non-deposit liabilities,Business of Swiss branches in India,Inter bank transactions,Fiduciary liability.
It’s assumed that assets held by Indian Residents in Switzerland are undeclared.BIS data shows non-Bank loans&deposits(constituting individual&corporate deposits used as Black money haven in past & exclude interbank transactions)fell by 34.5% in ‘17 compared to ‘16.
