The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex went up by over 52 points in early trade on Monday on buying by foreign as well as domestic funds in heavy-weighted bluechip stocks.

The 30-share sensitive index, which had gained 64.80 points on Friday, gathered another 52.95 points at 11,971.60 points in the first five minutes of trading.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 15.20 points at 3,486.65.
The major gainers were Larsen and Toubro, Bajaj Auto, Hero Honda, Satyam Computers, Ranbaxy Lab., ITC Ltd, ICICI Bank, Grasim Industries, Reliance Energy, ACC, Ranbaxy and ONGC.
