THE JAN Morcha Alliance chief Raj Babbar today assailed the State Government for allotting 2500 acres land to Reliance Group of Anil Ambani in Noida under Special Economic Zone.
Talking to Hindustan Times on phone, Babbar said the allotment was against the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission, which had recently said that single bid in any transaction should not be accepted. Noida Development Authority had advertised for SEZ land and Reliance was the only bidder, he said.
Babbar said land scam under the present government had assumed serious dimension in the State. He said prime land was being given to the capitalists at throwaway prices. He said after Dadri Power Project, land allotment in Noida to the company had amply indicated about malafide intention of the government.
The Jan Morcha Alliance has decided to launch movement against Noida land issue along with Dadri.
He said the issue would be taken up for discussion at a conference in Dadri on September 3 where farmers, who had gone to jail during the agitation, would be felicitated. The former Prime Minister VP Singh would attend the conference.
Babbar said the State Government had been making tall claims about power project at Dadri, but it would never come up. He said SEZ would prove one of the biggest land scandals in the State.
Babbar will visit Lucknow on September 5 to further chalk out action plan on the issue.
