BJP leader Girdharilal Bhargav, who was on a visit to the city died of heart attack at a local hospital in Ahmedabad on Sunday, an official release said.

Gujarat Governor, Naval Kishore Sharma, who after paying homage to the MP from Jaipur, said that Rajasthan has lost a dedicated social worker in the from of Bhargav. He also paid condolences to Bhargav's family members.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi too visited the hospital and paid homage to the departed leader.

Bhargav, who had been elected for seven consicutive times from Jaipur, was in the city to attend the state BJP's parliamentary committee meeting.
