Centre removes AAI chairman RK Srivastava from office

In a sudden development, RK Srivastava, chairman, Airport Authority of India (AAI) has been relieved of his responsibilities and repatriated to his home cadre, source said.

In a sudden development, RK Srivastava, chairman, Airport Authority of India (AAI) has been relieved of his responsibilities and repatriated to his home cadre, source said.

The order, sources said, was issued late on Wednesday.

Srivastava, a 1984-batch Jharkhand cadre IAS, had taken over as chairman of the state-owned AAI in January 2015.
