Cong rebuffs BJP demand of Ahamed's resignation
BJP demanded Ahamed's resignation in the wake of the inquiry report into the Marad incident in Kerala.
Congress on Wednesday dismissed BJP's demand for resignation of Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed in the wake of the inquiry report into the Marad incident in Kerala.

"It is a baseless thing, the demand is totally political in nature." party spokesperson Satyavrat Chaturvedi told reporters in New Delhi.
BJP demanded the resignation of the minister after an enquiry report that workers of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), were involved in the killing of nine persons at Marad in Kerala in 2003. The Minister belongs to IUML.
