Making it clear that his ministry would have a zero tolerance policy for corruption and delay in wage payment, he said, “Apart from the strict monitoring of the scheme, there will be monthly assessment reports to ensure transparent implementation of the rural job Act”.
The minister also said he would soon call a meeting of the state rural development ministers to discuss the issues in detail.
On the issue of rural housing scheme, the Indira Aawas Yojana, he spoke of the need to add new categories to the list of beneficiaries due to out-migration of labourers.
