Eunuch shot dead, another injured

A eunuch was shot dead and another injured by two armed attackers in Indore's Nandlapura area on Monday. Police suspect personal enemity to be the motive behind the attack.

A 38-year-old eunuch was shot dead and another seriously injured when they were attacked by two persons at Nandlalpura locality in Indore on Monday, police said.

The deceased identified as Mohini died on the spot while Payal suffered serious injuries after the duo was attacked by the accused, who were armed with a country-made pistol and a knife, when they were fast asleep, police said. Police suspect that the incident was the fallout of an old enmity between the eunuchs and the attackers.

Payal has been rushed to hospital and the attackers have been identified, they said adding search is on to nab the culprits.
