Haryana's Volvos, Mercs to enter IGI Airport area

Haryana Roadways' Volvo and Mercedes-Benz buses going to Gurgaon would now also pick and drop passengers at the area of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi where taxis and private vehicles provided the service.

State transport director general Arun Kumar said Haryana Roadways and IGIA authorities had reached an agreement to provide this facility.

Instead of going to the public transport centre, these buses would now go inside the airport area and stop there for a few minutes to drop and pick passengers, he said.

Haryana Roadways would set up a help desk at the IGIA to provide assistance to passengers. The help desk would also book tickets and coordinate for passengers travelling to Chandigarh, he added.
