Health camp held on Haemophilia Day

THE HAEMOPHILIA Society, Bhopal Chapter organised an awareness and free health camp to observe `World Hemophilia Day’ today.

Gandhi Medical College (GMC) Dean Dr Nirbhay Srivastava was the chief guest at the camp held at the society’s care centre situated in the Hamidia hospital. More than 25 haemophilia-affected patients were provided medical check up and necessary counselling at the camp.

Dr Anoop Mehrotra, Dr Simi Dubey, Dr Rini Malik, Dr R K Nigam, Dr Ramesh Madhav and Dr Quereshi provided theor services at the camp. Dr Quereshi informed about the symptoms and ways to avoid contracting the disease. He cautioned the disease could be fatal if not cured, as the flow of blood does not stop and a patient could bleed to death even due to a minor cut.
