It looked liked a strategy that nearly worked. Kieron Pollard had decided — one six an over is all that is needed to seal the deal. So, even though India had pocketed nine West Indies wickets, one man’s calculative hitting was taking the match to the wire.

Pollard scored in boundaries for the last five overs, taking a single only off the last ball. With 35 needed off 36 balls, all he needed were six hits over the fence. Thankfully for India, that didn’t happen.
