Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Fardeen Khan are among several Indian actors who will attend the premiere of the movie Taj Mahal, in Pakistan next week.
Filmmaker Akbar Khan said his movie Taj Mahal - An Eternal Love Story, would be screened in Lahore on April 26.
Khan said that ministers of culture from both India and Pakistan would be among the special invitees.
The Bollywood epic is about the 19-year marriage of Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz, who died from complications arising from the birth of their 14th child. The movie also tells the tale of the Mogul empire.
While the movie dwells on the famous 17th-century marble mausoleum, located in Agra near India's capital New Delhi, it also depicts the rivalry for the Mogul throne.
Khan said, "We might have a special screening for Pakistani President Perevz Musharraf, but we are awaiting confirmation on that because they have to consider his security."
The movie will also be shown April 27 in Karachi.
Ties between the two rival neighbours have improved after the start of a peace process two years ago. Several Pakistani actors have played roles in Indian film industry and filmmakers and actors have travelled across the border to promote movies.
