Indian Bank's net profit up by 13 pc

Public sector lender Indian Bank today reported 12.72 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 468.69 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Public sector lender Indian Bank today reported 12.72 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 468.69 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011.

The city-based bank had reported a net profit of Rs 415.77 crore during the same period of the previous year, Indian Bank CMD T M Bhasin said releasing the bank second quarter results on Monday.

Total income of the bank for the second quarter ending September 30, 2011, stood at Rs 3,377.13 crore as against Rs 2,559.28 crore registered during the corresponding period the previous year.

Total deposits of the bank rose to Rs 1,16,218 crore as compared to Rs 98,007 crore in September 2010, registering a growth of 18.6% on year-on-year basis.
