District Development Commissioner and his deputy escaped unhurt while two cops were injured in stone pelting in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"On the directions of the Court, DC Rajouri F C Bhagat along with ADC Matloof Khan and senior police officers yesterday visited a village to resolve an issue of constructing a road to village Saaj, which was being objected by some of the local residents," an official here today said.
He said when the senior administrative officers along with police were returning back, the families objecting construction of road started pelting stones at them.
"DC, ADC had a miraculous escape while two cops namely ASI Shabeer Ahmed and Constable Khadam Hussain were injured in the stone pelting," he added.
They said a case under Sections 307, 147, 148 182 353 of RPC has been registered against 20 people while the matter was being investigated.
