Inspector general of police (IGP), Kashmir, Abdul Ghani Mir issued the orders of promotion to 140 assistant sub-inspectors to the rank of sub-inspectors Thursday, a police spokesman said.

The Departmental Promotion Committee has cleared 199 assistant sub-inspectors for promotion to the next rank and orders were issued in favour of 140 of them this time, he said.
