"The Supreme Court holiday starts from May 13. So, the state government would have to approach the apex court by May 12," Patil said.
The state government has sought opinion of the Attorney General on the issue, he said, replying to a point of propriety raised by Vinod Tawde (BJP).
Legal experts have opined that the state government's case can `stand' in the Supreme Court, Patil said.
In the state assembly, Sudhir Mungantiwar (BJP) raised the issue, wanting to know the date by which the state government intended to approach the SC.
He also wanted to know if the state government planned removing the disparity in the dance bar ban criterion, based on which HC had given the ruling revoking the ban.
