One dead, 30 injured in ammonia gas leak
One person died and 30 others were admitted to hospital on Friday after ammonia gas leaked from an ice factory at Mohanpur in North 24 Parganas district, officials said.

One person died and 30 others were admitted to hospital on Friday after ammonia gas leaked from an ice factory at Mohanpur in North 24 Parganas district, officials said.
Many people complained of uneasiness and started vomiting after ammonia gas leaked from the ice factory at Mohanpur near Barrackpore, fire brigade officials said.
People have been evacuated from around 500 metres area of the ice factory as a precautionary measure and fire brigade personnel have rushed to the site to control the gas leak, they added.
